3D-printed model of Cochlea and nerve
An 8th-month-old male baby has impaired development in his right cochlea, the patient’s cochlea did not develop after a stage, and the cochlear implant needs to be surgically inserted. As it is not normal, the doctor is not sure from the 2D images about the positions of nerve entry. The surgeon used our Virtual planning software Enhance lite to plan for the surgical path of the cochlear implant placement. Our operation engineers help to segment the required anatomies using our proprietary image segmentation app SCIIP and help to visualize the abnormality.
